Presently, the educational policies are devoted in fostering the development and implementation of computer applications in education in a large number. The skills and competences that are needed for the knowledge-based society are carried out as analysis in the paper and the role and impact of using computer applications to the teaching and learning processes are revealed in the paper. The determination of the impact of using computer applications in teaching and learning management and to propose new opportunities for the process improvement stands as the aim of the paper which is also revealed as the outcome of a study that is conducted. The findings related to the outcomes of the study in accordance to the teachers’ and students’ perceptions about using computer applications for teaching and learning process could open further researches on computer applications in education and their educational and economic implications.
